Polar nights

We never have polar nights but I do have nail polish with that name. Is from IsaDora. Have blue base color, lot’s of small silver glitters and some silver glitter hexagons. Looks impressive in bottle but somehow this hexagons don’t want to go from brush to my nails I put 2 coats of polish, maybe in 3rd I would get more of them 🙂

I didn’t expect that in second coat blue will be so dark but I like it that way.

I wanted this polish since I first saw sneak-peek from IsaDora *-* Thought I don’t have any similar polish but found today Essence 78 Blue Addicted. It’s the same idea, jelly polish with two different shapes of glitters. Difference is that Essence polish is more sheer, blue jelly have green&black undertone, small glitters are in blue and hexagons are in green and blue.
I could say that I prefer Polar nights cuz I never wore Blue Addicted 🙂 I guess green hexagons bother me & that’s way I don’t put it on my nails.

Violet dawn by Depend

Today NOTD is Depend 2038 Violet Dawn from their Mirror LE In Slovenia we got only 6 polishes from this collection ( at least I found only 6 of them ). I like how Depend puts names for their special collections..should be the same for standard polishes 🙂

Name of polish says that this is violet but to me this is pink with a lot of silver parts that make mirror effect. Polish shines a lot on nails, like when u put mirror under light.
I used two coats of nail polish. I noticed that last Depend polishes that I bought dry really slow

NOTD: Depend 325

Depend 325 is part of their Fall 2012 collection. Is green-blue shade,“beetle shade” with shimmer. Needs 2 coats. In first you get just dark green semi-jelly base. In second coat you get blue shimmer.
I remember that I liked this crayon color when I was little. And I like this one too. But it dries really slow..or maybe I put to thick second coat :s

Then I put over one coat of Depend 328. Don’t look like I expected but still much better than over white or black.

NOTD: S-He Stylezone 312

312 is smoked green, forest green. It’s creme polish that leans on jelly side. I used 2 coats. I don’t own a lot of green polishes but I think this is my favourite o/

Yellow glitters over Steel my soul

When Depend showed their first promo photos for Fall 2012 collection all was wooowed by polish number 328. When woow effect went away you thought how does neon yellow goes with fall and will this look ok on nail.
My first thought was “I’m gonna buy this!!”, then I saw swatches and didn’t like it buuut then saw it in shop and it went with me xD

Depend 328 is light neon yellow based polish with silver glitters. Some say it have clear base and yellow glitters. I put it on white paper and it left yellow trace. Glitters can’t color your white paper,right? When you apply it, yellow base go over silver glitters and they look like frosting or like when you put crystal sugar on hot cake and then some crystals do melt and some don’t.

I didn’t try this polish on it own ( u can see that on Rijah.dk blog ). I put it over Catrice 905 Steel my soul. It’s 1 coat over and no top coat. Looks like if glitters sink into base polish 🙂 You can see only a hint of yellow. It reminded me immediately on fallen yellow leaves that I can see over my window.

So, as a top coat it goes well with fall 🙂 Don’t know if I would wear it on its own in fall, at least not this year when I’m all into dark autumn polishes.

NOTD: Catrice 905 Steel my Soul

Steel my soul is last of 3 Catrice Brushed Metal Effect nail polishes. It’s light taupe with small gold glitters. Like Essence 50 Irreplaceable just a hint darker and with other end. It’s nice color, didn’t have any problems like I had with 890 How I matt your mother. I used 2 coats and no top coat to not ruined brushed metal effect.

NOTD: Catrice – How I matt your mother

You know when you see something on internet and it goes immediately on your Wish list, then you buy it, try it and with the same speed it goes to your “Regret to buy list”.
It happened to me with Catrice 890 How I matt your mother. I saw it on Nihrida blog. It looked so awesome to me and I wanted to try this “Brushed Metal Effect”.

I was so happy when I got it cuz it was the last in store stash that day. Went to try it immediately and… Looks to dark on my nails, brushed effect is not so visible as on Nihrida’s nails and brush is awful on my polish Plus first looks as if is one coater but when it dries, color separates in the middle of your finger so you need to apply another coat.

Tried this polish twice and it failed both times Won’t use it anymore. It’s good that serie “How I met your mother”, after which this polish got name, is way way much better \o/

Face creams that I use

I wrote last post about face creams and other face products two or one year ago 🙂 Since then this routine changed a lot. I don’t use Nivea products anymore. Not cuz I don’t like them but my skin got used to them to much and they didn’t work as they should. Now I use Balea and AOK products. I have mixed skin.

AOK is brand from Germany & part of Schwarzkopf&Henkel. In Slovenia you can buy it in Muller.Befour I first try it I didn’t know anything about it, it was experiment..blind buying xD
AOK have more collections. First Beauty for teenagers, Pur Balance for ppl in 20’s ( I use this one ), Aqua minerals for ppl in 30’s & I saw now on their page that their new product is BB Cream 🙂

1. AOK Klärende Reinigungstücher –> Cleaning wipe in english =) It’s with peach-extrat and salicyl-komplex. In one pack you get 25 wipes. They do what all wipes do 🙂 But they don’t have cream inside so depend on your skin type you might need to apply cream after it. I only need to do that in winter when my skin is more dry.

2. AOK Porenverfeinernde Tagescreme –> Daily creme with peach-extrat and salicyl-komplex. Really good creme. Put my skin in balance, reduced zits and my skin is oil-free till night. Have medium thickness and light fresh peach smell.

I like AOK Tagescreme a lot but don’t use it anymore. Not cuz it’s no good but cuz I accidentally bought their flouid ( similar box, I didn’t know they had creme & fluid jajajaj ) that I like even more.

3. AOK Beruhigendes Feuchtigkeitsfluid –> Fluid with Tea & Ginger-extrat. Fluid is more liquid version of creme. You don’t need a lot of it to spread it over your face. It’s light and perfect for summer. Have the same effect on my skin as Tagescreme but I prefer smell of fluid and how easier is to apply.

4. AOK Seesand Peeling –> Peeling with Tea& Ginger-extrat. Creamy peeling with light brown seesand. There’s more seesand than cream cuz cream is just base so you can apply it. Seesand is so small that is not harsh. Don’t damage your skin, does his job gently & efficient. I use it every sunday.

In fall and winter air is more harsh and your skin more dry so you need cremes that are thick ( at least I do ). In that time I use Balea creams.

1. Balea Feuchtigkeits Spendende Tagescreme with Lotusflower for normal & mixed skin; Nice thicker cream that smells awesome even on your face & smell stays there for an hour & so ppl always ask what perfume do I use xD moisturizer my skin in cold days very well (y)

2. Balea Outdoor aktiv creme with LSF 15 –> Creme specially made for cold winter days. With Edelweiss-extrat & sheabutter. Is really thick.. buy it when you go for skiing 🙂 and apply it when you know your be at least half of the day outside cuz in the house you start to shine in 2h.

3. Balea Nature Tagescreme –> Daily creme with Bio-tomato-extrat from France 🙂 That’s how they say jajaj Don’t know why is important to write on creme that tomatoes are from France xD It’s their new creme ( they have new bio line ). It’s the same as Balea Feuchtigkeits Spendende Tagescreme just that main ingredient is tomato and olive oil. It’s my new favourite creme. I use it for fall and winter.

NOTD: Catrice 900 Steel my heart

Catrice have some new polishes in their standard range. One of new ones is “Steel my heart”. It have Brushed metal effect, according to Catrice. It’s like matte with glitters, just that glitters do shine but do not pop out, they are part of nail surface. If u saw OPI Liquid sand nail polish swatches.. well Catrice effect is be2 matte effect and OPI effect 🙂

I used 2 coats. It’s nice brown polish with blue and green micro-glitters.
